The Prince of Wales Set to Attend COP30 Climate Summit in South America
Prince William plans to participate in the COP30 climate summit in South America next month, according to palace sources.
Prince William and King Charles appeared together on Thursday evening at a gathering leading up to the climate summit, which is scheduled to take place in the northern Brazilian city of Belém.
Father and son were participating in the Natural History Museum reception, marking an noteworthy combined presence at a environmental conference preliminary meeting co-hosted by the UK government.
Climate Leadership Dedication
King Charles has been a consistent supporter of protecting nature - and the Prince of Wales has taken on the baton, with his own climate innovation awards, which will be held in Brazil preceding the climate conference.
Royal sources have characterized William's involvement at the next COP as taking on an crucial position in "global climate discussions".
Previous Activities
The monarch and his heir, arriving together in the royal vehicle, were welcomed attendees such as environmentalists, scientists, climate change campaigners, foreign representatives and government officials.
This involvement included speaking together with French leader Macron of the French Republic and other world leaders at the Ocean Finance Summit in the Principality of Monaco during the current year.
