Discover 29 Latest Game Cards from Magic's TMNT Set (Including a Commander-Style Deck!)

Everyone's beloved pizza-eating heroes are coming to the popular trading card game. The well-known trading card game's company, the game's creators, announced a much-awaited Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles collaboration during a exclusive panel hosted at NYCC. Is this a radical addition or yet another crossover marketing move? We'll let you decide.

Check out below at all the details announced from the Magic x Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles collaboration, including some useful background. Everything mentioned here launches on March 6th, 2026, with one exception — the Pizza Bundle arrives a few weeks later on March 27.

MTG x TMNT: Main Set Reveals

Before we get into all the various special decks and bundles on offer, let’s take a look at all the cards from the main Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles expansion that were revealed by the developers. Standard booster packs for the set are priced at $6.99 per pack, while Collector Boosters are priced at $37.99 per pack.

Let's unpack a few shell-shocking features. First, a new gameplay mechanic named Sneak Attack, which is a riff on the pre-existing Ninjutsu ability, in which players can cheat big creatures onto the battlefield whenever an attacking creature goes unblocked. The key change in this case is that Sneak can apply to non-creature spells as well. The designers also took the opportunity to clean up the mechanic a little (Sneak counts as playing a spell, unlike Ninjutsu). The original ability isn't going away, but chances are we'll see the new mechanic in future sets from now on.

Should we go back to Kamigawa, it’s possible we’d use the original ability since that's where it was developed and it is iconic to that,” a senior game designer stated. “However on other planes, since the mechanics are smoother and the new ability is what's going to be in standard, it's more likely we’ll use the updated version.”

Another version of the leader Turtle, Sewer Samurai card, is among four cards with unique artwork created specifically for the set by Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles co-creator the co-creator.

Oh, and, should you be surprised by the card text on Turtles Forever card, which lets you play cards that aren't in your main deck, so was I. Yet as per Wizards, it’s now a official card in every format of Magic.

Anyway, below are the highly unusual full-art lands from the TMNT set:

As per the company’s existing guidelines, all these cards are all legal in Magic’s Standard play. The designers state they took care to make sure the cards and gameplay elements meshed well with current Standard expansions like Edge of Eternities.

“I headed the development for 15 months and we were aware it would be in standard and which sets were going to be alongside it in standard,” a lead designer says. “We designed to make sure that they work well with certain expansions including Edge of Eternities.”

For example, both TMNT and Edge of Eternities feature a Izzet archetype built around artifacts.

“They mesh together to offer the pieces for a enjoyable Standard deck,” the designer added.

Preconstructed Commander: Turtle Power!

After declining to create any Commander precons for the Spider-Man set and the upcoming Avatar: The Last Airbender collaborations, the company is reversing course with Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. This time it’s just a single precon, but it includes six different legendary creatures who could work as your Commander based on how you combine them (five cards include a unique Partner mechanic named “Character Select” that lets you start with two commanders in the command area instead of just one). Take a look for yourself:

This Commander deck is priced at $69.99, though the price may rise based on popularity. Sources told that it includes 43 brand-new cards in total, which translates to an extra 37 TMNT-themed cards besides the six legendary creatures pictured above. (Doing some rough math, that also means approximately 20 reprints if we assume the precon includes 37 land cards.)

How will the TMNT edition of the iconic Sol Ring appear? Fans must wait and see.

Standard Bundle (Regular)

Typically, Wizards is offering a collection. This one is priced at $69.99 and includes the listed items:

  • 9 Standard Boosters
  • 15 Foil basic lands
  • 15 Regular basic lands
  • 2 Reference cards
  • One Traditional foil promotional card
  • 1 Large spindown life counter
  • 1 storage box

Pizza Bundle

Here’s a unique concept for the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles set, primarily because it comes in a box resembling a pizza box. Every pizza-themed bundle costs $99.99 and comes with the items below:

  • Nine Standard Boosters
  • 1 Collector Booster
  • 25 Non-foil pizza lands
  • Five Foil pizza-themed lands
  • Two Traditional foil pizza bundle promotional cards
  • Two Reference cards
  • One Oversized spindown life counter
  • One Card-storage box

For those curious what a “pizza bundle promo” means, it’s essentially a reprinted older card featuring all-new TMNT art. The team showed one for the well-known Magic card Dark Ritual featuring art of master Splinter adding black licorice pieces onto a pizza slice. There are six distinct pizza promos in total.

This special bundle releases a few weeks after the main set on March 27, 2026.

Draft Bundle

This special bundle is designed for a four-player draft and is priced at $119.99. It includes:

Cooperative Play Set

Lastly, the developers are doing something new with Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles as part of its ongoing effort to create Magic products specifically for new players. Here, the cooperative set is a special set of decks that let you and a friend team up against a “Boss” deck that pilots itself.

The concept is that every Boss card grants special abilities to the creature cards included in the Boss deck. The Boss automatically plays one other card each turn, and players begin fighting {one Boss|
